Book review

School Days Daze is about a twenty-two year old young man named Bradford Gates who desires to become a part of Rootstown Elementary School again. Readers will join Bradford as he recalls delightful memories from his school days, which are presented as humorous rhymes.

During his quest, Bradford remembers The Rootstown French Fry Feud, the field trip to the zoo, his effort to become a "kickball hero", the "mystery meat" in the cafeteria, his first romance that started in the fourth grade, and the fifth grade dance (during which no one really danced). Readers will be delighted as they share in Bradford's past joys and thrilled to discover how his plan works-out in the end.

Mr. O'Reilly, one of the school's custodians, befriends Bradford and helps him understand how special it has been to be a part of Rootstown Elementary School over the years. He also teases Bradford about his efforts to be back in the school again. In the end, Mr. O'Reilly has some surprises of his own.

The story of School Days Daze is not just about Bradford Gates; it is about all of us- everyone who has ever been an elementary school student. It reminds us all of how special these years of are lives truly are. Readers will surely come to cherish Bradford's story as they are reminded of their own "School Days Daze"!
